Plan Description
This GTN plan has been designed by ex-professional triathlon, Jodie Swallow, for a beginner targeting the half-distance triathlon.
Over the course of the 12-weeks, the plan will prepare you for the distance as well as the required pace.
It will be introducing you to every element of triathlon, including the finer details like nutrition, kit choice, and technique.
The plan is designed around a 4-week cycle, with a recovery week in that final week, as well as additional rest days throughout.
If you’re using a Heart Rate monitor or Power Meter, great. All this data can be great to log, and analyse within training peaks. However, none of this is essential. As this is a beginner plan, we will be worked off Rating of Perceived Exertion, on the most part.
This is a rating of 1-10; 1 being easy, 10 being hard.
By following this plan you will arrive at the event feeling confident that you can cover the distance comfortably.
