Plan Description
This 20 week trail running plan has been designed for mountainous ultra marathons in the region of 100 miles.
It includes strength and conditioning and is largely based on heart rate. Some sessions are RPE based where this is more appropriate.
The plan has been written by Doug Stewart, a highly accomplished trail running coach that works with athletes of all abilities, including coaching athletes to victories in UTMB World Series races and top 10 finishes at the UTMB Finals in Chamonix.
The plan follows a typical pattern of two build weeks before a recovery week and is designed for races with significant elevation change, there is also a version available for more rolling races.
