This plan is built for the Cocodona 250. I have finished it multiple times, and crewed and paced it on top of that, so the course detail in here comes from being out there, not off a map.
7 to 8 sessions a week, most weeks. The listing says 4-8 because it counts the taper. 20 of the 25 weeks are 7 or 8, and it is built to fit around a job rather than replace one.
What you get:
- 25 weeks of time-based training, with strength sessions built in the TrainingPeaks strength builder
- A written breakdown of all 10 course sections, from the start line through to Heritage Square
- Travel, lodging and crew logistics for this specific race
- Sleep strategy for a multi-day effort, and when to start banking sleep
- Fueling and hydration, foot care, poles, pack selection and how to train your power hiking
You should be able to comfortably run 40 miles or 6 hours a week before you start.
