Plan Description

Hello! Welcome to the 20 week plan to get ready for your 100k.
This plan assumes that you are already running regularly and are of a good fitness level.
The plan follows the maxim of quality training over quantity, I am a big advocate of quality over quantity, so this plan does not include or advocate training runs of marathon length.

Please note that for an ultra (or any running event) there is no shame in walking, ALL ultra runners will hike up the hills and depending on your level of fitness and the distance of your ultra, you will find yourself working to a run/walk ratio that suits you. Practice this in your training if this is going to be what happens on race day so your body is prepared.


We recommend that you include strength training, and you can find some of this on our YouTube channel.

We encourage you to treat the long/endurance run days as ultra practice and hike the hills, learning to hike fast will pay off dividends on race day.
