Plan Description

This 12-week plan delivers comprehensive aerobic, strength and mobility training for trail racing and performance at the marathon and 50km distance.

You will utilize heart rate as a measure of intensity, and establish your own unique training parameters based on straightforward aerobic and anaerobic tests completed throughout the plan.

Workouts are based on time and not distance, to account for the variability of trail terrain.

This plan is great for folks transitioning from the road marathon to trails, or bumping up from the 25k/half marathon trail distance to the marathon and ultra distances.

This plan requires access to hilly trails or alternatively a treadmill which can ascend to 15%+ gradient.
