Plan Description

This plan is built specifically for the Rubble Creek Classic Trail race. It’s designed for the ‘beginner’ trail runner. Those who have either never completed the 25km 1000m distance before, or have but have never trained specifically for an event. The plan will build the key areas of fitness that determine success in this type of race;

- Durability
- Muscular Strength
- Increased Lactate and Aerobic Threshold
- Pacing & Nutrition

The strength training in this plan is all home based. However, if you want a gym based plan. Please let me know I can send one through. The plan uses Rate of Percieved Exertion RPE to control intensity, so no smartwatch is needed. If you are interested in using heart rate, you can email me and we can book a call. I can talk you through the tests needed to find and set your heart rate zones.
