Plan Description

This is a 8 week Base Training Plan for anyone trying to build up for a strong outdoor track or road racing season. This plan will start around 50 miles a week or so and build you up to around 70 or so towards the end of the program. This program is for experienced runners who have previously run around 60-70 miles consistently in the past year or so. Runners using this plan should be training for a mile, 2 mile, 5k, 10k, or even half marathon. Runners using this program should be able to focus on effort based training throughout, and therefore any ability level should be able to lock into the appropriate paces during this program. By the end of this program, you should have a great foundation for a winter or spring of racing.
