Plan Description
This is an 8-week training plan designed to help athletes run sub 8:30 in the 3000 meters. This plan is best suited for experienced runners who are currently running 40–70 miles per week and have personal bests close to the time goal.
Throughout the program, athletes can expect their mileage to gradually progress, with a planned down week built in for recovery. Key workouts will include threshold sessions, intervals, and long runs, all designed to build strength, speed, and race-specific fitness for the 3200 meters.
By the end of this program, you should be well-prepared to compete at your highest level and give yourself the best opportunity to achieve your goal.
