Plan Description

This entry-level training plan is excellent for athletes moving from general exercise to structured, weekly training, with goals of improving their aerobic capacity for endurance activities. We'll use a mix of aerobic training and strength to help develop the tools you need to go farther!

Plan essentials:
- Entry-level; ideally coming into it with less than 5 hours of exercise each week in mixed form
- No previous running experience needed! You can learn to build into running as a form of exercise or use hiking exclusively.
- Access to basic free weights up to 45lbs is ideal; also useful is a 16-18" box, a pull-up bar, vertical terrain or a machine such as a treadmill or stair climber.
- Heart rate-based workouts to help maintain objectivity with your effort levels
