Plan Description

No Goal (Anti-Virus) Training Plan: Here is a 10-week training plan for those runners whose races have gotten postponed or cancelled. Like the Boston Athletic Association being postponed from April 2020 to September 2020, then being cancelled until the fall of 2021! Okay, some 30,000 runners will need to wait. We don't like that, but what are we going to do about it?

How about a training program that will get you through the next few months? A 10-week program without a "goal" in quotes other than to stay in shape without a race to run at the end of all the training. My newly created No Goal (Anti-Virus) Training Program contains an adequate amount of miles, but no grind-it-out long runs in poor weather conditions. Some cross-training, particularly on a bicycle. Some strength-training, whether you go into a gym or not. (Crunches still work.) A training program that allows you to enjoy running for its relaxing benefits at a time when the rest of your life may be stress overloaded.

Let's lace up our shoes and go for a run together.
