This advanced marathon plan is built for experienced runners ready to sharpen speed, boost endurance, and run their fastest marathon yet. Whether you’re targeting a Boston Qualifier or a breakthrough performance, this plan combines proven endurance training with race-specific intensity to help you peak at exactly the right time.
You’ll train 6–7 days per week with structured workouts including threshold intervals, marathon pace sessions, fast finish long runs, progression runs, and recovery days strategically placed for adaptation and freshness. Each week is carefully planned to build aerobic capacity, fatigue resistance, and confident pacing control under race-like conditions.
You’ll also focus on race-day fueling, pacing strategy, and mental toughness — because great marathons aren’t just run with the legs.
Perfect for: Experienced and competitive runners aiming for a PB, a Boston Qualifier, or a stronger, smarter marathon performance.
To support your marathon journey and maximise your progress, we recommend (optional) adding complementary work alongside your run plan:
✅ Strength & Conditioning: Build durability, muscular endurance, and injury resilience to go the distance.
✅ Mobility & Recovery: Maintain range of motion, improve tissue health, and speed recovery between key training days.
