Plan Description

26-Week Marathon Training Plan

This comprehensive 26-week training program is designed for runners who have been consistently running prior to starting. If you already have a solid training base, you can join the program at any point that suits your preparation timeline. It’s recommended to review the entire plan to determine the best entry point for you. If you feel you need additional base training before diving in, take a few weeks to build up your endurance.

The plan follows a structured four-week cycle:

Weeks 1-3: Two quality sessions per week, focusing on speed and endurance.

Week 4: A cut-back week with no quality sessions, allowing for recovery and easy running with six strides added to two training days.

You have the flexibility to adjust the quality sessions to fit your personal schedule. However, ensure you have two to three easy days between quality sessions to optimize recovery and performance.
