Plan Description

The 16 week intermediate marathon training plan is a step up from our beginner plans. Being 16 weeks long we have added an additional run day bringing the total run sessions per week to 5.
In addition there will be 1` strength session per week to ensure your body is adequately prepared for the demands of not only the marathon itself, but the training in the lead up.
As a pre-requisite, we require you to have been completing a minimum of 30-40km per week as a base for at least one month.
We have pre-requisites for each of our training plans as a way to ensure our athletes are not over committing to training when they simply do not have the training experience to do so placing them at a much higher risk of injury.
Our main priority is to get our athletes to the start line healthy and more importantly having enjoyed the training process.
