WOMEN BOSTON QUALIFICATION
Age 50-54: Time 3hrs :55Min
Duration:16 Weeks.
Time Goal: 4hrs 00Min to 3hrs 50Min
Distance per week: 32Mi – 43Mi.
The training program is designed for individuals who meet the following criteria:
- Aim to qualify for the Boston Marathon
- Interested in running strong and potentially improving their time
- Want to incorporate speed work into their training routine
- Capable of starting the training with an 11-mile long run
- Able to run 32 miles in the first week of training
- Training plans include various components such as long runs, fartleks, tempo runs, track speed workouts, and recovery days
- Willing to commit to running 5 days a week
- Have prior experience in running marathons, having completed at least three marathons
- Possess several years of running experience
- Able to meet the Boston Marathon qualifying time for their age group (no more than 25 minutes over the qualifying time for ages 50-54)
- The training plan is tailored based on the individual's Boston Marathon age qualification time.
A competitive runner himself, Wilson Komen brings nearly a decade of experience to his coaching. He sees it as his mission to help all of his runners—new and experienced alike—maintain healthy, consistent training regimens that will lead to rewarding racing experiences.
