- Starting with an 11-mile long run
- Being able to run 32 miles in the first week of training
- Including long runs, fartleks, tempo runs, track speed workouts, and recovery days in the training plan
- Weekly long run distances totaling 43 miles, with the longest run of 22 miles per week
- Running 5 days a week
- Having marathon running experience, including completing more than 3 marathons
- Being within 25 minutes of the Boston Marathon qualifying time for the age group of 45-49
The training plan is specifically designed based on the individual's Boston Marathon Age qualification time, with a focus on preparing them to meet the standards required for entry into the Boston Marathon in the 45-49 age group.
