The training program described is specifically designed for individuals who meet the following criteria:

- Individuals aged 40-44 who aspire to qualify for the Boston Marathon.
- Those who are focused on running well and potentially improving their race times.
- People who are interested in integrating speed work into their training routine.
- Individuals who are capable of starting the training with an 11-mile long run.
- Those who can run 32 miles in the first week of training.
- Participants whose training plans consist of long runs, fartleks, tempo runs, track speed workouts, and designated recovery days.
- Individuals who are willing to cover a total weekly distance of 43 miles, with the longest single run being 22 miles. - Runners committed to running 5 days a week.
- Those with prior marathon experience, having completed more than 3 marathons.
- Participants whose qualifying time for the Boston Marathon is no more than 25 minutes slower than the specified Age 40-44 qualification time.
- The training plan is customized based on the individual's Boston Marathon Age qualification time.
