Training Load By Week
Training Load By Week

Mike Dunlap has his Masters in Exercise Physiology and is certified by the American College of Sports Medicine. He qualified for the 1980 and 84 Olympic Trials and ran for the Brooks Racing team from 1982-84.

He followed a training program very similar to this one prior to each of his marathons. This is the one he followed prior to his 2:19:48 marathon in 1981. This program would be appropriate for a post college runner with a 30:00-32:00 minute 10K ability. He ran his PR 10K 30:29 prior to is 2:20:31 in 1979. The 20 week sub 2:20 marathon plan is what he ran in the fall of 1980 ending with a 2:19:48 marathon in early January 1981.

This plan comes with complete email access to Mike during the plan's duration. Mike's email address is included with the plan.
