The main difference between a 10km plans and the half marathon plans is the duration of the longer runs, there is also a small difference in the interval sessions which focus on longer and more sustained running at threshold or sub-threshold. At the start of this plan it is expected that you can already run steadily for 30 minutes 3 times per week.
The plan builds contains 4 sessions in the week and focuses on increasing the duration of the longer run so that achieving the distance is possible. Speed is not so important with this plan, if you would like to run a half marathon faster look towards the plans from 12 weeks or longer which give more time to develop speed through the plan.
