Worum geht's?
Was dich erwartet
Mittwoch: Schwellen-Einheit. Donnerstag: optionaler Recovery-Lauf. Sonntag: MARATHON KEY, dein Long Run mit Marathon-Pace-Blöcken.

ENGLISH
What's the plan?
12-week marathon plan (Basic) for runners who want to bring their marathon home solidly and in control – the focus is on finishing, not on a specific target time.
Who is it for?
You already run 3 times a week regularly and can complete a ~90-minute long run comfortably. This is not a couch-to-marathon plan – ideally you've already run a half marathon. Currently injured? Recover fully first. The plan works best combined with strength training.
What to expect
Three structured 4-week blocks plus tapering. Focus: progressive long runs up to ~31 km, easy aerobic running, first marathon-pace segments and practising your race fueling.
Weekly rhythm
Tuesday and Saturday: easy runs with strides, mostly with form drills. Wednesday: threshold session. Thursday: optional recovery run. Sunday: MARATHON KEY, your long run with marathon-pace blocks. Monday and Friday: Mobility Essentials.
Listen to your body
Every workout includes an RPE cue. Quality over quantity – if you're sick or overly fatigued, rest is allowed and makes sense. Consistency across the weeks wins the race. On the long runs: test race shoes and race nutrition.
Start & activation
Activate the plan exactly 12 weeks before race day. The plan starts on a Monday and ends on race day (Sunday). Count back 83 days from race day – that's your start date.
Hamburg Marathon (25 April 2027): start on Monday, 1 February 2027
Race week: activation session with marathon-pace kilometres on Wednesday, FINAL CALL the day before the race.
