12-week plan (plus race week). Specially designed for runners transitioning from road to trail or those looking to master the 13.1-mile off-road distance. Includes email-only support.

The Mission: 100 people to complete 100 ultras. While this is a half marathon plan, it is the perfect stepping stone toward the world of endurance. Whether this is your finish line or a milestone on the way to a 50K, this plan provides the roadmap to success.

This plan is for runners who want to build a rock-solid aerobic base while tackling the unique challenges of trail running. The basis of this training plan is for a technical trail race, technical descending, and the mental toughness required for off-road racing.

Your Training Benefits

  • Daily workouts based on RPE: We use the Rate of Perceived Exertion (1-10 scale). On the trails, pace doesn't matter as much as effort. RPE accounts for elevation, technical terrain, and weather.
  • Typical week: 4 runs (including hill work and trail-specific long runs), 1-2 cross-training sessions, and dedicated recovery days.
  • Exclusive tips on power hiking, technical footwork, and mental reset techniques.
  • Fast email support from your coach regarding your training blocks.
TIP: You should be comfortably running 3-4 times a week and able to complete a 45-minute run at any pace before starting this plan.
