Intro tot barefoot running. De eerste 2 weken is het belangrijk om de voeten goed los te maken, er staat dan ook elke dag zo'n 10min oefeningen op, dit lijkt misschien overweldigend in schemavorm, maar op 10min ben je er dus vanaf! Dit wordt dan stelselmatig vervangen door meer lopen, meer core training en oefeningen om de voeten sterker te maken. Aan het einde van dit schema kan je 5km barefoot lopen! Probeer zoals voorzien zoveel mogelijk effectief barefoot te lopen en dus niet met minimalistische schoenen in het begin. Dit zal je beter helpen om over te schakelen op de juiste techniek en voorkomt blessures. Vaak ontstaan stressfracturen en bijvoorbeeld ook ontsteking van de achillespees of verbelasting van de kuitspieren doordat te enthousiast gestart wordt en men niet op blote voeten wil starten. Voor de rest, als je hiermee start, het is een leuke herontdekking van de voeten! Of je daarna voor minimalistische schoenen kiest, blote voeten of gewone schoenen. Je looptechniek en loopsnelheid zullen er sowieso baat bij hebben!
