Is This Plan For You?
This 6-week 10K Advanced plan by GA Endurance is designed for experienced runners seeking a short, race-focused preparation leading up to race day.
It is ideal for athletes who can comfortably run 10–12 km, already possess strong aerobic fitness, and are ready to begin 10K-specific training immediately.
This is not a complete fitness-building program. It is designed to sharpen established fitness through targeted race-pace work, controlled intensity, fatigue reduction, and race-execution practice.
What You Can Expect
• A focused 6-week progression through 10K-specific preparation, taper, and race week
• High-level training with precise intensity distribution
• Targeted threshold, aerobic-power, and 10K race-pace sessions
• Structured interval workouts to reinforce speed endurance and running economy
• Race-specific sessions to refine pacing control and execution
• A controlled reduction in training load to support race-day freshness
• Clear, easy-to-follow workouts using pace, heart rate, or perceived effort
• Optional strength guidance to support durability and injury prevention

Requirements
To start this plan, you should be able to:
• Run continuously for at least 10–12 km
• Train consistently 5–6 days per week
• Have significant prior structured training experience
• Already possess strong aerobic and threshold fitness
• Be ready to begin race-specific training without a base-development phase
A GPS watch and heart rate monitor are strongly recommended for the best results.
Final Note
This 6-week plan is designed to sharpen existing fitness rather than build it from the beginning.
You will reinforce 10K pace, refine running economy and pacing precision, reduce accumulated fatigue, and prepare to execute your race with control and confidence.
