This 4-week 10K Intermediate Maintenance plan by GA Endurance is designed for experienced recreational runners who want to maintain their fitness, consistency, and performance capacity without preparing for a specific event.

What You Can Expect
Across 4 weeks, your training will combine Easy aerobic running, controlled threshold work, speed-endurance sessions, technique-focused efforts, and appropriately structured longer runs.
The program is designed to preserve aerobic endurance, threshold capacity, speed endurance, running economy, and a consistent training routine. Training stress is carefully balanced so that you can maintain meaningful fitness while continuing to recover effectively.
By completing this plan, you will remain physically prepared to transition into a more race-specific 10K training program when your next performance goal is established.

Requirements
Before starting this 4-week plan, you should be able to:
• Run 8–10 km continuously at a controlled effort.
• Train consistently 4–5 days per week.
• Complete Easy runs, longer aerobic runs, and structured intensity sessions.
• Manage normal training fatigue while maintaining good movement quality and recovery habits.
A GPS running watch and heart-rate monitor are recommended to help you follow session intensity, monitor progress, and train with greater precision.
