Is This Plan For You?
GA Endurance designed this 4-week 10K Beginner Maintenance plan for runners who want to maintain fitness, consistency, and running durability without preparing for a specific race.
This plan is ideal for athletes who already have basic running experience, can complete short Easy runs comfortably, and want a structured routine between focused training cycles.
If you want to preserve your aerobic endurance, keep your legs responsive, and stay ready to move into a future 10K-specific plan, this maintenance block gives you a clear and sustainable structure.
What You Can Expect
• A 4-week maintenance structure designed to support consistency without the pressure of a fixed race date.
• Beginner-appropriate training that balances Easy running, aerobic durability, and controlled intensity.
• Easy aerobic runs that help maintain fitness while keeping fatigue manageable.
• Longer aerobic runs that support endurance and preserve your ability to handle future 10K preparation.
• Controlled threshold or tempo-based sessions introduced in a manageable way to maintain sustainable running strength.
• Rhythm and speed-development work that helps preserve running economy without creating unnecessary overload.
• Clear intensity guidance so you know when to stay Easy, when to run controlled, and when to keep the effort relaxed.
• A sustainable weekly structure that helps you stay consistent between more focused race-preparation blocks.
• Optional strength guidance to support durability, movement quality, and injury-risk reduction.
