GA Endurance designed this 40-week 10K Beginner plan for runners who want a structured, gradual, and race-focused path toward completing a stronger 10K.
This plan is ideal for athletes who already have basic running experience, can run short distances comfortably at an Easy effort, and are ready to follow a consistent training routine several days per week.
If you want to build your aerobic endurance, improve running economy, develop controlled speed, and prepare for race day without rushing the process, this plan gives you a clear and sustainable roadmap.

Requirements
Before starting this 40-week plan, you should be able to:
• Run short distances continuously at a comfortable Easy effort.
• Train consistently several days per week.
• Follow Easy runs, longer aerobic runs, and gradually introduced structured workouts.
• Manage normal training fatigue while maintaining good movement quality and recovery habits.
A GPS running watch and heart-rate monitor are recommended to help you follow session intensity, monitor progress, and train with greater precision.

This 40-week plan is built to help you become a more consistent, durable, and confident 10K runner through a structured long-term progression.
