Plan Description
This 8-week 10K training plan is built for runners aiming to improve their endurance, threshold fitness, and pacing ability over the 10K distance. It is best suited for athletes who are already running consistently (4–5 days per week) and can comfortably complete runs of 30-40 minutes.
Training progresses through aerobic development, sustained tempo work, and race-specific intensity to prepare athletes for the demands of a 10K race. Sessions are clearly structured with defined intervals, recoveries, and effort targets using a combination of effort (RPE) and pacing guidance.
This is a self-guided training plan and does not include ongoing coach communication. Athletes should be comfortable interpreting workouts and adjusting based on fatigue, recovery, and external stress.
Required / Recommended Equipment:
- GPS watch or running app
- Running shoes suitable for both easy and faster sessions
- Optional: heart rate monitor
