The 8-Week Preseason Big Mountain Freeride Plan from Mountain Training Center is designed for skiers and snowboarders who want to step into the season ready to charge big lines with confidence. Focused on strength, power, and resilience, this program prepares you for the physical demands of steep descents, technical terrain, and long days in the mountains—building a foundation that carries you straight into mid-season form.
This plan requires little to no equipment and can be completed entirely at home, making it both accessible and highly effective. Across three focused sessions per week, you’ll develop leg strength for powerful turns and core stability for balance and control in variable conditions. Each workout is built around the key movement patterns that matter most for freeride performance.
Unlike general fitness routines, this program is tailored specifically for big mountain freeride—training you to handle the explosive demands of skiing and riding while maintaining endurance and stability through long descents. With progressive loading and intentional recovery, you’ll steadily build capacity without burning out before the season even begins.
