This plan is designed for swimmers looking to build up to 3k distance, perhaps part of a 70.3 or Ironman progression. It is suitable for swimmers who are perhaps already swimming, albeit in an unstructured way and need some guidance on how to piece the stepping stones together.
Please note, it is not suitable for absolute beginners i.e. those unable to swim at least 100m in one go.
Technique is obviously a crucial part of swimming and that is why we have included a bit of an intro to swim technique. This is in the form of technique focused warm-ups. You don't have to follow the technique sets as they will add on time to the session and so we have kept them separate from the main swim sessions.
If you do decide to use them, simply substitute the warm up in the main session for the technique focused warm-up intead.
Good luck!
