Plan Description
The police physical readiness test plan is designed for individuals who are expected to take a physicals fitness standard test with a law enforcement agency. Most agencies require a 1.5 run, 300- or 400-meter run, push-ups, sit-ups and vertical jump. This plan is designed to help individuals prepare for six weeks before the fitness test. No equipment is necessary; however, it is helpful to have access to an outdoor track. The plan comes with the ability to communicate with the coach to adjust strength workouts depending on variations of test requirements.
This plan was created by a coach with 18 years law enforcement experience, including 7 years on a tactical unit, and an avid endurance athlete. The coach also spent several years training officers as a department certified instructor.
