Plan Description
The Maddog Program is an 8-week complete program for motocross racers.
Included:
Off-bike fitness:
- 1x recovery day/mobility session per week
- 2-3x cardio sessions per week
- 2 strength/gym sessions per week
Approx 4.5-6 hours per week.
MX Training & Skills
- 1x motocross session structure per week
- 1x MX skills tutorial or mindset/educational video per week (5-20 minutes)
Time commitment needed:
To get the most out of this program, at a minimum, you should commit to at least 3 days of training during the week, and at least 1 day on the weekend.
Ideally, you can commit to 3-4 days of training during the week (1 day of recovery), plus both days on the weekend. There is enough flexibility that days can be shifted slightly to suit your schedule better, if required.
Program Aim:
This program aims to improve your cardiovascular fitness by using intervals and aerobic base training. The strength sessions aim to improve muscular strength, efficiency, and robustness, assisting with injury reduction.
James (coach) is available to answer questions and provide minor program alterations/guidance.
