This is your introduction to ECFIT Performance Strength powered by Training Peaks
Strength Training specific for Endurance Athletes
This 2 week plan includes:
2 Mobility Sessions
3 Unique Strength Sessions
These sessions are categorized as Launch Strength / Strength Endurance Sessions. Lighter loads with higher repetitions and a focus on skill development.
Strength recommendations are listed as 1 - 2 - 3.
1 - Light Training Load - upon completion of the set you should feel 10 reps in reserve
2 - Moderate Training Load - upon completion of the set you should feel 5-10 reps in reserve
3 - Heavy Training Load - upon completion of the set you should feel 2-5 reps in reserve
This is an important component to all ECFIT Training Sessions. Endurance Athletes carry a certain level of fatigue into the gym. It's important to acknowledge and account for this fact. Choosing loads based on your level of fatigue is crucial to maintaining consistency and enjoyment of the strength training component of your endurance training program.
