Plan Description

This 8 week plan is designed for beginner riders aiming to complete a 24-mile gravel race with confidence. The training gradually builds endurance, strength, and speed while progressing you to handle gravel terrain safely and efficiently. Each week includes two focused interval sessions to boost fitness, one longer endurance ride to prepare for race distance, and one skills or recovery ride to keep you fresh. Also included is daily mobility to help you avoid injury and move better as an athlete.

The plan starts with shorter rides to build a base and progresses to longer efforts at the right intensity to help you ride stronger for longer. You’ll also practice pacing, fueling, and hydration so there are no surprises on race day. Technical skills like cornering, braking, and riding loose gravel are included to make you more comfortable on mixed terrain.

By race week, you’ll have the fitness, skills, and confidence needed to finish strong and enjoy the experience. All rides are written with clear instructions and built with a file that will sync to your smart watch (Garmin, Coros, etc) so you can follow along easily on your watch or on your bike computer.
