This 2-week tapering plan is designed to help you arrive at your target event fresh, sharp, and confident — without losing fitness. It gradually reduces training volume while maintaining enough intensity to keep your legs responsive.

Week 1 continues with mostly normal training but includes one extra recovery day and a race simulation session to rehearse pacing and fueling.
Week 2 introduces shorter, easier rides, strategic openers, and high-cadence efforts to boost freshness while preserving race-readiness.

By race day, your body should feel rested, your Training Stress Balance (TSB) should be positive (around +5), and your mind fully focused.
