Plan Description

This plan is a guide for young kids (under 13) or beginners to improve leg speed, power and endurance. Each week has one leg speed session and one interval session. This is followed by short and easy rides on the weekend.

The key is to make the activities fun for the child. The speed and interval sessions can be done on a virtual trainer or outdoors on a bike. The weekend rides are HR based for outdoors, but Zone 2 power pacer riders on a virtual training app can also work.

There are 4 training days in total per week. Sessions range between 35min and 1h35m. The first week has a 5-minute test to determine threshold.
