AEROBIC (2) TRAINING BLOCK
This block is part of a broader training system designed to help you apply core training principles to your situation.
Rather than prescribing a fixed plan, these blocks are meant to be used as templates — customized based on your available time, current fitness, and where you are in the season. The Annual Training Plan (ATP) provides the framework for making those adjustments.
When this block makes sense
AEROBIC (2) is most appropriate when:
-you want to build or extend your aerobic base
-you’re in a steady training phase without major interruptions
-you’re looking for a repeatable, sustainable block you can return to multiple times
-consistency and aerobic development are the primary goals
This block is often used repeatedly throughout the season as a “bread and butter” aerobic block. Volume can be scaled up or down depending on your availability, background, and goals.
This block can be followed as written, repeated, or modified. The goal isn’t perfection — it’s to observe how changes in volume, intensity, and consistency affect how you feel and respond over time, and to use that information to guide your next decision.
Because this block is repeatable and low-risk, it’s an ideal place to learn how adjustments in volume, ramp rate, and workout structure affect your fitness over time.
