The Millars is a 156.6-kilometer pacing problem before either named summit gets a vote
The organizer confirms The Millars Gran Fondo for Sunday, March 14, 2027 and currently publishes a provisional 156.6-kilometer route with approximately 2,211 meters of climbing through Sierra de Espadán. The current course highlights the Aín and Salto del Caballo summits, but the organizer warns that roadworks or other contingencies may change the final route. Final 2027 regulations, timetable, aid locations, cutoff, and route override provisional or historical details.
For the experienced rider training seven to eleven hours a week. This twelve-week build pairs sustained climbing and race-specific durability with deliberate recovery so fitness rises without carrying avoidable fatigue into March 14.

Hey, I'm Matti. I spent 11 years at TrainingPeaks, where they trusted me to teach coaches how to coach at TrainingPeaks University. I raced Amateur Elite with Rio Grande Cycling Team and podiumed my age group at Unbound 200 in 2026. I have a degree in biology and exercise physiology from St. Olaf. I'm also a middle-aged dad of three, so I know training doesn't happen in a vacuum. I help gravel riders get stupidly fast without becoming the person who brings a food scale to a party
