Feldberg builds the debt; Mammolshainer Stich collects it
All routes start and finish at the Eschborn Ost event area, passing through Frankfurt before heading toward Oberursel and the Taunus. The Classic (97 km) crosses the Großer Feldberg, continues through Eppstein, Königstein and Kronberg, and adds the Mammolshainer Stich before returning to Eschborn; the Express (85 km) follows much of the same course but omits Mammolshain and the Königstein/Kronberg loop. The Mammolshainer Stich — the Classic-only final major test, reaching a reported 23% maximum gradient, arriving after the Feldberg has already taken its toll.
For the rider aiming to complete ADAC Velotour (Eschborn-Frankfurt) strongly on seven to eleven hours a week, this twelve-week plan builds sustained climbing, repeatable climbing power, descending confidence, and fatigue resistance for Großer Feldberg followed by the 23-percent Mammolshainer Stich.

Hey, I'm Matti. I spent 11 years at TrainingPeaks, where they trusted me to teach coaches how to coach at TrainingPeaks University. I raced Amateur Elite with Rio Grande Cycling Team and podiumed my age group at Unbound 200 in 2026. I have a degree in biology and exercise physiology from St. Olaf. I'm also a middle-aged dad of three, so I know training doesn't happen in a vacuum. I help gravel riders get stupidly fast without becoming the person who brings a food scale to a party
