Çeşme's Aegean loop rewards the rider who can climb without giving away speed
A road gran fondo on the Çeşme Peninsula, Aegean coast, Turkey, offering three loop courses that all start and finish in Çeşme city center: the SALCANO long course (91km, 1,025m+), the TOYOTA HYBRID medium course (67km, 787m+), and the CESME short course (41km, 382m+), staggered starting at 08:00/08:30. The event is produced by Argeus Travel & Events with VeloTurk, a Turkish cycling group tied to the 'Bir Çocuk Gülerse Dünya Güler' (If a Child Smiles, the World Smiles) bicycle-donation project; Salcano has been a title sponsor in recent editions (the 2025 edition was branded 'Veloturk Gran Fondo Çeşme by Salcano').

Hey, I'm Matti. I spent 11 years at TrainingPeaks, where they trusted me to teach coaches how to coach at TrainingPeaks University. I raced Amateur Elite with Rio Grande Cycling Team and podiumed my age group at Unbound 200 in 2026. I have a degree in biology and exercise physiology from St. Olaf. I'm also a middle-aged dad of three, so I know training doesn't happen in a vacuum. I help gravel riders get stupidly fast without becoming the person who brings a food scale to a party
