Moixent's 14:00 cutoff decides whether Alt del Campello is still yours
Legendaria Gran Fondo Ontinyent's second edition starts Saturday, April 17, 2027 at 07:30. The official flagship route covers 180.6 kilometers with 2,632 meters of climbing and five climbs, while a 14:00 control at Moixent governs access to the late Alt del Campello section before Portixol and the return to Ontinyent. Distance, patient pacing, repeatable climbing, fueling, and the ability to ride purposefully after six hours matter more than early excitement.
For the experienced rider training seven to eleven hours a week, this twelve-week Alpine-Fondo plan balances decisive climbing and endurance work with deliberate recovery so accumulated fatigue does not make the late cutoff or final passes the result.

Hey, I'm Matti. I spent 11 years at TrainingPeaks, where they trusted me to teach coaches how to coach at TrainingPeaks University. I raced Amateur Elite with Rio Grande Cycling Team and podiumed my age group at Unbound 200 in 2026. I have a degree in biology and exercise physiology from St. Olaf. I'm also a middle-aged dad of three, so I know training doesn't happen in a vacuum. I help gravel riders get stupidly fast without becoming the person who brings a food scale to a party
