Three Alpine passes, not one summit, decide the day
Alpe Gran Fondo returns Saturday, May 29, 2027 from Kamnik's main square. The official Pro Course covers 130 kilometers with more than 2,000 meters of climbing across Crnivec, Pavlicevo sedlo, and Jezersko before returning to town, so the day rewards controlled hard efforts, repeatable climbing, confident descending, fueling, and enough durability to keep the third pass from becoming damage control.
For the rider bringing eight focused weeks and seven to eleven hours a week, this All-Rounder plan concentrates on sustainable climbing, disciplined pacing, fueling, and the late durability needed after Crnivec and Pavlicevo sedlo are already in the legs.

Hey, I'm Matti. I spent 11 years at TrainingPeaks, where they trusted me to teach coaches how to coach at TrainingPeaks University. I raced Amateur Elite with Rio Grande Cycling Team and podiumed my age group at Unbound 200 in 2026. I have a degree in biology and exercise physiology from St. Olaf. I'm also a middle-aged dad of three, so I know training doesn't happen in a vacuum. I help gravel riders get stupidly fast without becoming the person who brings a food scale to a party
