Qualified for the UCI Gravel World Championships in Nannup? This 10-week training plan is designed to help you arrive at your best on race day. Availability for this program is best suited for those with 12-15hrs training availability per week.
Created by Tasman Nankervis, winner of the 2023 SEVEN UCI Gravel World Series and holder of a Master's degree in Exercise Physiology, in collaboration with Kobe Henderson, Exercise Scientist, this program combines proven training principles with first-hand gravel racing experience.
Over 10 weeks, you'll complete a mix of structured interval sessions, endurance rides, and a cycling-specific strength program to build the fitness, strength, and durability needed for the demands of the Nannup course. The program focuses on improving your threshold power, repeatability, endurance, and overall race performance.
The program begins with a 20-minute FTP test to establish your training zones, followed by 2–3 key interval sessions each week alongside endurance riding. Recovery weeks are built in to allow your body to adapt before the final race-specific block. In the final weeks, you'll complete regular race simulation sessions designed to prepare you both physically and mentally for race day.
Whether your goal is a podium finish, a personal best, or simply riding your strongest race, this plan provides a clear and structured approach to help you perform with confidence at the UCI Gravel World Championships in Nannup.
