Life gets busy.
Work, family life, school runs, late nights, and endless responsibilities can make consistent training difficult, and before you know it, structure and fitness can drift away a little.
The Busy Dad’s Return to Training Cycling Plan is designed to help you ease back into consistent riding in a realistic, manageable, and sustainable way. No huge training hours. No smash-fest sessions. Just structured training designed for real-world athletes balancing cycling around everyday life.
Who Is This Plan For?
This plan is ideal for cyclists returning to structured training after:
🔹 A busy period with work or family
🔹 Illness or injury
🔹 A loss of routine or motivation
🔹 Time away from consistent training
It’s also perfect for riders who have been spinning casually on Zwift but want more structure and purpose again.
You should already have a basic level of cycling fitness and be comfortable riding for approximately 45 minutes at a time.
What Does The Plan Focus On?
The goal is simple:

Sessions are intentionally time-efficient and manageable, with 3–4 structured rides per week designed to help you train productively without feeling overwhelmed.
