The 16-week Chase the Sun 2026 plan is a structured, event-specific programme designed to get you confidently through 200+ miles from sunrise to sunset on Saturday 20 June 2026. As the Official Training Partner, it blends power, heart rate, strength, and mobility so committed riders can arrive on the start line prepared, resilient, and ready to enjoy the day.

Train smart for your 200+ mile coast-to-coast challenge with the official 16-week plan for Chase the Sun 2026, built to help real riders go the distance from first light to sunset. Every week is structured so you can fit quality training around a busy life, stay consistent, and line up knowing you’ve done the work.

Built for Chase the Sun: Specifically designed for the Chase the Sun sunrise-to-sunset ride on Saturday 20 June 2026 (over 200 miles in a single day).

Created as the Official Training Partner plan, using feedback from riders who have successfully completed previous Chase the Sun and similar 200-mile events.

Focused on helping “average but committed” cyclists turn the event from intimidating to achievable with the right preparation.

Personalised, adaptive training: You set your heart rate and power zones, and the plan adapts to your individual thresholds for truly targeted sessions.

Uses a mix of indoor and outdoor structured workouts, so you can train effectively whatever the weather or daylight. Heart rate and power guidance make it easy to hit the right intensity every day without guesswork.

This plan develops:
Aerobic engine to keep you riding strong for multiple hours without fading late in the day.
Higher Functional Threshold Power and muscular endurance so you can handle long miles, rolling terrain, and late-event efforts.
Event-specific confidence through regular “simulation” sessions to dial in pacing and nutrition before the big day.
Incorporates CTS official training days in the calendar
