Welcome to your 8-Week Criterium Tune-Up! A training block designed to improve your consistency at your local Crit Series.

Criterium racing is a pure form of racing; not a competition of who has the highest FTP. The goal is to survive repeated surges and still produce a race-winning sprint after 60 minutes of attacks and counterattacks. This plan is designed to sharpen your snap, improve your recovery between attacks, and ensure you have enough energy to perform in the final 200 meters.

Most riders make the mistake of training like time-trialists, chasing ever single watt. By focusing on neuromuscular recruitment and lactate clearance/shuttling, this plan ensures that you have enough fire power to finish strong at the end of every race.
