If you want to make the most out of this winter and boost your fitness ready for next year, then this plan is for you!
Who’s it for?
This training plan is designed for intermediate cyclists in the winter or off-season phase who want to maintain structure, consistency, and fitness without the pressure of race-specific training. It’s ideal for athletes coming off a long season, returning after a short break, or simply looking to train smart through the colder months.
Is it for you?
This plan assumes a good level of cycling fitness and that you already have a Zwift account and are comfortable using it for training. Sessions are designed to be time-efficient and manageable, making it suitable for busy athletes balancing work, family, and winter life; with 3–4 sessions per week, all 60 minutes or less.
What’s involved?
The plan progressively builds over 4 weeks, focusing on aerobic conditioning, technique, and re-establishing training rhythm. Each week targets a range of training zones to maintain balance, improve efficiency, and lay a solid foundation for future build phases; all delivered in a Zwift-friendly format to keep training consistent through winter.
