Plan Description
This is the right plan for you if:
Your low on time to train - less than 7HRs, new or been cycling for less than two years, aged 35+ years, looking to improve your overall cycling performance.
This base plan will focus on four key cycling performance areas:
Develop your cadence (pedalling) technique
Develop your aerobic threshold
Develop your on-bike strength
Develop your aerobic capacity

Length: 12 weeks
This 12 week cycling program is a beginner plan.
Going into this plan you should have a reasonable fitness level that enables you to ride for at least 45 minutes non-stop. There are two key midweek workouts with three recovery / rest days interspersed throughout the week. At the weekend you have the opportunity to avail an optional ride which is preferably taken outside. However, despite prescription the plan is flexible and we can tailor suitable workout days if necessary.
This plan is heart rate and power based so you will need a HR monitor and power meter to record data and upload to TP. You can use power from a smart trainer if you do not possess a standalone power meter.
