Lay the groundwork for your cycling success with this 8-week base training plan from Elevate Fitness Coaching. Designed to establish a strong aerobic foundation, this plan is perfect for athletes preparing for more intensive FTP-focused training.

The plan begins with an FTP test to set personalized zones and builds progressively through a mix of endurance rides, tempo intervals, and recovery sessions, ensuring you develop aerobic efficiency and fatigue resistance. Each 4-week phase includes structured workouts that balance volume and intensity, with a deload week in Week 4 to consolidate gains and prepare for the next block.

This plan is ideal for athletes who have been riding recreationally or want a structured approach to build their endurance. It’s also the perfect lead-in to LPC's 12-week FTP-focused plan, available in the store. By following this progression, you’ll be ready to push your limits and achieve your performance goals.
