Plan Description
Welcome to your Power Assessment plan.
This has multiple testing options for you to complete.
[1] CP and W' Testing from just 3 & 12 efforts
[2] CP and W' Testing from 3, 5 and 12-minute efforts
[3] Force Velocity Assessment
[4] CP and W' Durability Assessment [Requires step 1 to be completed]
Paid assessments, will include a full performance document and overview of your data. From what it means, your strength and weakness. A direction in where you training should go in order to get the most out of the up and coming weeks
Critical power represents the boundary between the severe and heavy intensity domains. Where there are differences in the physiological responses that are observed. There is much debate around this and other common metrics.
My preference as a coach and physiologist is through the use of CP, and W' particularly as my PhD is underpinned by this metric. In particular W' shouldn't be coined anaerobic work capacity, on anaerobic power, but more to the reduction of substrates to limiting values and the accumulation of fatigue metabolites. It a a ratio/magnitude, based upon depletion (PCr), accumulation BLa-, H+, ADP, Pi and buffering. Once this reaches a critical threshold, VO2max is typically attained and exercise is terminated.
A large part of my research is looking at the physiological underpinning of W' and in particular the recovery components of recovery for its use in W'bal modelling. Which we are currently creating an online calculator to use as an analytic tool.

In your session plan, there is a performance calculator which is just a simple Google Sheets file. If you want to have further analysis please do get in contact and how to get the most out of your data. We are always happy to help.
