This plan has you take a step backwards during the 'off season' with less volume than during the regular season. This allows you to train effectively, but with much less fatigue. This in turn is a great way to be fresh, yet building a rock solid fitness foundation before you move on to more intense race fitness training near Spring. It is a very fun, productive and effective way to stay fit and sharp, all while actually growing towards better ride and race performance in the upcoming season. Scheduling suggestions for Core, Kettlebell, Weights, Cross Training, etc.
