Plan Description

Bridging the Gaps and Breaking Away


Beginners - 4 to 5 rides per week, 7 to 10 hours per week (excluding rest weeks)





This is a training plan from the Zwift Race Fit Series This plan targets development of rider abilities to handle closing down gaps, breaking away, regaining contact after being caught off guard behind a slow group and more. Best Performance Race Starts are also discussed and prepped for. Weekend workouts/Rides can also be done outdoors.



This is an 8 week plan that can be repeated. Notes, How's and Why's, Tips are included during the plan. The plan includes the Zone 5 and 6 workouts that are needed to develop the power and recovery to handle race starts, bridging gaps, race finishes and more. Proper quantity of rest and recovery is included so you are able to train strong and race strong.
